CRACK

CRACK hires you as staff at a research lab built around a giant egg, and nobody tells you why it is there. Your task is to get through the shell and find out what it holds, either solo or with up to three friends in online co-op. Progress is incremental: you earn money, spend it in the lab's shops and keep working at the egg across sessions.

A shift means trips to the item shop and the scanner shop, toolbox refills, and a hotbar that starts at two slots and grows by one for each satchel you wear, up to four. You will use computers, arcade cabinets, carts and scaffolding, and solving a puzzle knocks 20% off an order through the employee discount. There are secret door codes to read, and agitation events and burst pipes interrupt the routine. A Halloween update added a Trick or Treat event to the rotation.
