About Permafrost
Permafrost is set in a world left under ice after an apocalypse, on a large open map with plenty of lore to find. The game is story-driven, so exploring is also how you piece together what happened here. You can play solo or bring up to three friends in online co-op. It is in Early Access, and the first content update has already added new clothing sets and firearms.
Survival drives everything. You range across the map scavenging supplies, then craft what you find into tools and gear. The cold is the main threat, and the answer to it is a network of shelters spread across the world, giving you places to fall back to as you head further into the wilderness.
